The CFA Society Indianapolis Forecast Symposium, held at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on January 23rd, was a resounding success with over 225 attendees joining for a night filled with financial expertise, entertainment, and insightful market analysis. The evening was highlighted by our keynote speaker Howard Marks, Co-Chairman of Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., who provided valuable insights drawn from his widely-read “Memo” series, especially pertinent in the current climate of rising interest rates.
Setting the stage for the night, Nolan Bean, CFA, CAIA, and CIO at FEG Investment Advisors, delivered an engaging opening speech. He offered a comprehensive overview of the current market landscape, pointing out potential investment opportunities in small-cap sectors, distressed debt, and biotechnology.
